About
Company Overview
Systems Assembling AG is a specialist manufacturer in the fields of electrical engineering and mechatronics, with core capabilities in cable assembly and switchgear cabinet construction. Headquartered in Boudry in the canton of Neuchâtel, the company serves customers who operate in environments where precision and reliability are non-negotiable: industrial applications, aerospace and defence, and medical technology.
What makes Systems Assembling distinctive is the breadth of sectors it serves from a single, focused operation. Cable assemblies and switchgear cabinets are components that most people never see, but they are the nervous system of complex machines and systems. When a medical device manufacturer or a defence contractor specifies these components, they need a supplier who understands the regulatory requirements, quality standards, and documentation expectations of each industry.
The company operates from two production sites: its headquarters in Boudry, Switzerland, and a wholly owned subsidiary in Portugal. This dual-site structure provides both cost flexibility and production redundancy, an important consideration for customers in regulated industries who need assurance of supply continuity.
Partnership
Our Partnership
In December 2021, Helvetica Capital partnered with the management team of Systems Assembling through a Management Buy-Out. The company had established itself as a trusted supplier to some of the most demanding industries in Europe, but its next phase of growth required a partner who could bring strategic perspective, operational experience, and access to a broader network of industrial expertise.
The investment was structured to ensure management continuity: the people who had built the customer relationships and technical know-how remained at the helm. Our role is to support the team in professionalising operations, expanding the customer base, and leveraging the Portuguese subsidiary as a platform for broader European reach.
